Life-Lesson From Job's Wife

Remember when Job's wife suggested to Job: "Why don't you just curse God and die!?"

I know those are shocking words, especially when they're aimed at your spouse. But the fact remains that she did say them, and they can never be retracted. That's the problem with words.

It would probably shock Mrs. Job to learn how much verbal abuse she has taken from preachers for those harsh words. I know from my personal experience, that I can't remember one time, in my entire lifetime, when I ever heard a preacher say anything good about Job's wife - including myself. lol

But that's regrettable. Especially, if we pause for just a moment, and put ourselves in her shoes. By doing that, suddenly everything changes. In fact, when you really think about what 'the Jobs' went through, it seems rather baffling that we have never cut her any slack. Think about it; Mr. and Mrs. Job lost all of their children, all their workers, their house, crops, livestock, and livelihood, and yet, we slam the poor woman for uttering some unfortunate words, in the middle of her unfathomable tragedy.

Put yourself in her place for a moment, what if the police came to your door and informed you that all of your children were dead? Just hearing those words alone, would put most of us over the edge emotionally. Yet somehow, we have failed to see the deep emotional crisis, that led to her very understandable outburst against her husband, and we loudly condemn her for it.

That's bad enough, when you think of it that way, and I believe that we owe Mrs. Job a huge apology for it. But as I was thinking about our sorry condemnation of this grief-stricken woman, it made me wonder how many other people we have griped at, complained about, or insulted under our breath, through the years, because they didn't do something fast enough, or to our liking. But here's where the hammer comes down on all of us; when I think of we have reacted, without knowing what they were going through at the time, its downright shameful. That said, I guess we owe them some apologies, too.

It is not humanly possible to undo what we have said or done in the past, and I am not suggesting that we should. But hopefully, we can change what we do in the future. And if we can learn that huge lesson, and do right by people always, then maybe, that's the best way to apologize to Mrs. Job, after all.

TRANSFORMATION

Paul was an amazing apostle, who confronted secularism head-on, tackled the tough issues facing the church, taught boldly against the idols of the day, declared unflinching truth even to governors, kings and powerful rulers, and he spent more time praying in his ‘heavenly language’ – than most believers, either then or now.

And did you notice, that Paul didn’t apologize for being a Christian, or for following the ways of Christ daily, because he knew firsthand what the amazing power of the Living God had accomplished in his own life. His experience was so convincingly real, that it became a compelling force to share his one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ with others, so they too might experience the same transforming power in their own lives.

I pray we will remember ‘the pit we were dug from,’ the depth of sin Jesus delivered us from, and how radically transformed our lives have become, thanks to Jesus’ power alone – and that newly stirred remembrance will become the impetus we need to share his saving power with others. After all, remembering how badly we needed His grace, and what the power of His redemption has accomplished within us, should stimulate us to share His love with others, if nothing else does!

Romans 1:16 (NKJV) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.”

HOW TO RESOLVE YOUR CRISIS & MEET YOUR NEED

Have you ever noticed, that almost ALL of our attempts to resolve a crisis, or meet a specific need, rely upon ourselves, and what we can do to solve them? Think about our typical responses: We WORRY, we FEAR, we TALK, we THINK, we STRESS, we WORK HARDER, we GET ANGRY, we LOSE SLEEP, we FRET, and we GET FRUSTRATED.

Only TWO responses to our need, or crisis declare our wholehearted dependence upon God for the resolution of them. What are they? PRAYER & OBEDIENCE to His will or Word.

And did you notice, that only those TWO responses have the ability to actually RESOLVE your issue, MEET your need, or OBTAIN the answer?

That’s a fact. Any attempt that involves US alone, typically have a nearly guaranteed fail rate. Only when we turn to God for our answer, do we have cross over the threshold from our human limitations, to lay ahold of the power of God, for the answers we need.

Every other response is worth LESS than nothing, for they involve our flesh, our ability, our intellect. And anything that relies upon US instead of God – will FAIL! Only when we go to God for our answers, will we find the miraculous help we desperately need to resolve our issue, or meet our need.

So take a very BOLD action today – stop relying upon YOU, and cast all your cares upon HIM – in prayer and obedience – knowing that HE will answer the cry of your heart! So get ready for your miracle to come! When you PRAY & OBEY, its on its way!

Why Should Parents Serve God?

During Samuel’s early childhood, something supernatural was birthed inside him, through his mother, Hannah. Before Samuel was even conceived, Hannah went to the Temple to seek the Lord, because she was barren, and longed for a son. But as she knelt to pray, she was so overwhelmed by her burden, that she could only communicate spirit-to-Spirit, through deep groanings that only God could understand. Eli thought Hannah’s wordless prayer was an indication that she was drunk, and he rebuked her for it. But she explained to him that she was not drunk, but was overwhelmed in her spirit.

Through Eli, God told Hannah that He had heard her cry, and would answer her prayer. Soon, Hannah became pregnant, and gave birth to Samuel. As Samuel grew, it became evident that he would walk in a special anointing.

Now pay close attention to this: Samuel would grow up to become a mighty prophet and judge in Israel. And guess what Samuel would became known as? The people of Israel called him “the wailing prophet.” It’s been said that when the Spirit of God came upon Samuel, that a loud wailing cry would arise from his spirit – before he ever uttered a word in prayer. Samuel’s cry could be heard from a mile away.

Do you see the correlation between Samuel and his mother, Hannah, here? The wordless cry of the spirit that originated in Hannah, was passed on to her son. Whenever God’s anointing came upon Samuel, and he began travailing for Israel’s redemption, or beseeching God to show His mercy, the heart of a Godly mother could be heard crying out through the heart of her son.

Mom’s and Dad’s – listen to what God is saying to you in this: What you sow in the Spirit, will find it’s fulfillment in the lives of your children. So let me encourage you; be like Hannah, find your expression in the Spirit of God, and let Him birth in your children the richness if His callings, and giftings, and spiritual manifestations, so that you may leave them with a far greater inheritance, than anything money can buy.

I pray that we will let 2017 be a year of deep travail in the Spirit, in which we believe God for the manifestation of His Spirit, in the lives of our children, and in future generations!

Christmas ... Reveals The Good Shepherd

At Christmastime, we sing about 'shepherds abiding with their flocks by night,' and we watch our children act out their little roles in bright colored bathrobes. But have you ever considered, that God intentionally positioned the shepherds at the bedside of the newborn King (Jesus), so we might understand the correlative imagery of the shepherds and their flocks, to reveal the deep truth to us, that He (Jesus) came to do that exact work Himself, in our lives?

As our Shepherd, Jesus is there for us (Remember, shepherds live with their flock), He is responsible for our protection, and our provision. IN the New Testament, Jesus is referred to as the Good Shepherd, the Chief Shepherd, and the Great Shepherd.

Jesus is referred to as our Good Shepherd, because that describes His loving intentions to care for us, and seek our common good always.

As the Chief Shepherd, He has established a network of many under-shepherds, who are charged with helping to tend his flock worldwide. But remember, they only work under His watchful eye, and constant vigilance. He is the Head, or Chief Shepherd who provides the power, the compassion, and the love His flocks need daily, and He solemnly charges His under-shepherds to maintain the uniformity of Truth throughout all His flocks.

And as the Great Shepherd, Jesus reveals His willingness to lay down His own life for His sheep. Don't forget, He personally ratified the New Covenant with HIs own shed blood (Blood Covenant). He did it voluntarily - because HIs love for us is that strong. And only His blood could make God's Redemptive Covenant valid for eternity. Wow. What love He has for us.

I pray, during this Christmas season, that we will direct our hearts to seek Jesus Christ, the Shepherd, more than we ever have before. Now is the season of revival - God is doing something new in the earth. But every move of God starts with a right understanding of our inseparable connection with the Shepherd, and the revelation of great His love for us is.

My hope is that we all will understand the depth of His love for us, and personally experience a fresh revelation - that nobody else loves, cares or provides for us, like our Shepherd does.

If you don't know Jesus as YOUR personal, life-changing Shepherd yet, I encourage you to call out to Him today, and invite Him to accept you into His flock. For when you do, you will experience new life, healing, forgiveness, and hope, like you never knew existed in your world. And all the good things the Shepherd of our souls seeks to give to the members of His flock, is all made possible for you, right now, because He loved you enough too make a way for you, before you even knew you needed it.

YOU CAN EXPERIENCE PEACE THIS CHRISTMAS!

On the very first Christmas, God sent angels to the world, as divine messengers of the promised peace, that would soon be found in Jesus.

I know our world can be a very fearful and troubling place, especially during times when you, or your loved ones are battling diseases, or in seasons of life where your family or friends are serving in dangerous places in the military. Others also experience peace-robbing fear over uncertainties in the job market, violent civil unrest in our cities, governments teetering on the verge of bankruptcy, the constant threats to friends or family members who work in the law enforcement field, and so many more real-life issues that many of you face every day.

But today, I just wanted to take a moment to remind you that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is also the Prince of Peace. Remember that, through all of your struggles. Never forget that Jesus not only has the ability to give us His peace, but according to the Word, He literally is our peace. Jesus accomplished this great feat through His work on the Cross. Isaiah 53:5 explains it this way: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

On the first Christmas, God pronounced to all humanity, through the angelic choir, that He was sending Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, in tiny little Bethlehem, to become peace for us. So today, I encourage you to rethink the amazing benefits you have have been given in Christ, and without further hesitation, go to Him, and ask Him specifically for what you need.

And remember - like so many other blessings from God - His peace is found by spending time in His presence, soaking in everything He has to give, as the answer to what you need. Receiving His peace not a hard thing to do - just shut out the world for a while, and get alone with Him. In that secret place, where its just you and God - let Him minister to you, and fill your life with the very thing you so desperately need - His peace.

Remember the powerful, fear-chasing words that Jesus declared to those who follow Him, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

And let me leave you with a few additional verses, to brighten your day, and chase your fears away: "I will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Me." (Isaiah 26:3); "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10); “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3), and “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

May you rest in His love, abide in His peace this season, and learn to receive and enjoy all of God's many gifts to you this season!

Tell the TRUTH of Christmas to Everyone!

Let's take time this Christmas season, to reinforce the TRUTH of CHRISTMAS to our children, and grandchildren. While Santa might be a cute story, be sure our kids ALL understand that ONLY JESUS SAVES!!! Our kids need to know that truth - for that truth alone will set them free from sin, and give them eternal life through Jesus Christ!!!

In our crazy, mixed-up world, it seems like people are more prone to believe fictional tales of little elves, and miraculous reindeer, than to grasp the truth of our Redeeming Savior, who literally was born to die for our sins, on the cruel Cross of Calvary.

And while the well-known Christmas carol might suggest that Santa knows, "when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake." We know, that in reality, JESUS alone possesses "all power and authority in heaven and in earth," (Matt. 28:18-20), and that He alone can save us from our sins, heal our diseases, send comfort to our sorrowing souls, and give us eternal life.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem for the distinct purpose of doing for us, what no other person could ever do - including Santa. :) For throughout the Bible, we read of God's great love, that led to Jesus' birth in Bethlehem - and - to the Cross. Let's remind our kids, and grandkids, of the only TRUTH that can set them free, and give them eternal life, through Christ our Lord!

Certainly, we should all take time to read the Christmas story to our family every Christmas (Matt 1-2, and Luke 1-2), but also, let us never forget to tell them the rest of the story - that the manger always led to the Cross - and the Cross alone leads to our Redemption!

Isaiah 53 (NKJV), "Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9 And they[a] made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul,[b] and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors."

SIN v YOU ... What Difference Does It Make?

Living for God matters. No matter what people might say to the contrary, living holy lives pleases God, and results in His blessings upon your life, your family, and your nation. Proverbs 14:34 proves the validity of this statement: "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."  In this verse, we easily see the power of righteous living!

Sin is always worth fighting, because giving into it will bring ruination to everything it touches now, and for all time. One verse from the Bible highlights the stark contrast between a life dominated by sin vs. a life lived in righteousness before God.

In Romans 6:23, Paul wrote this truth: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." So let's be clear on this issue: We must fight against sin at all costs, and for all time. And no matter what that battle will require of you, the results are worth it.

But does fighting against sin make any difference? Can we really win against this insistent force? Yes, we can win, and we will, if we learn to fight the right way, and stay committed to fighting against sin every day, for all our days.

Here's the bottom line about fighting against the temptation of sin: just because you feel the tug of sin upon your life, doesn't mean you are powerless to stop it from dominating you.

Fact: Everyone on earth is tempted by sin, but that does not give you an excuse to surrender to it. Even Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, but here is the one key element of His temptation, that people often overlook, while making excuses for their morale failures: "Jesus was tempted, the same as we are, yet without sin." (Heb. 4:15) It is important to note, that Jesus never gave into temptation. And neither should we. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you have power over sin.

1 John 4:4 states this truth clearly, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." So fight the good fight against sin - make no excuses for it, don't give sin an inch - or it will steal your heart.

And last of all, don't get weary in the battle, and give up. Remember this: Every battle you win is valuable, and sets you up for even more victories on your journey, because you are learning to win the war for your soul. So fight on, be brave, and stay true. The results are worth it - because righteous living matters to God, and changes everything!

JUST ANNOUNCED - AN EVEN BETTER ADVENTURE THAN POKEMON-GO!

JUST ANNOUNCED - AN EVEN BETTER ADVENTURE THAN POKEMON-GO! Within the last few weeks, the popularity of Pokemon Go - the online treasure hunt game has exploded with popularity. Nobody expected it to grow in popularity the way it has. But I've just received notice from a 'major manufacturer' that a 'new' adventure program is being released that has the potential to blow Pokemon Go away with popularity. What is it? The new adventure is called, "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere!" And according to the 'Manufacturer,' it offers a far greater experience for subscribers, than any program or game ever released before. The major difference between Pokemon Go and "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere,' is that Pokemon is a fantasy-based program, while "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere," is based entirely upon present and future reality.

Here's how the new game, "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere," works. Participants sign up for the new program, at no cost to them, through the "Adventure Authorizer,' Jesus Christ. Once they sign up to become regular subscribers, they are immediately approved to participate in all levels of the new experience (And reap its immediate benefits).

What can subscribers look forward to achieving in "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere"? Subscribers actually take part in life-changing adventures, that lead them throughout their neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces. The new adventure also provides worldwide optional plug-ins, that enable participants to actively pursue Jesus around the globe, through some of the most challenging, and rewarding venues imaginable. Many subscribers already have downloaded this plug-in, and are running in full pursuit of Jesus in nations around the world.

Additionally, while most subscribers to Pokemon Go, walk around at a snail's pace, trying to locate imaginary creatures on a virtual screen, the pace is much faster with the new adventure. Don't take me wrong, Pokemon Go seems to provide lots of fun, but the new adventure, "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere,' is not limited to participating at a near sedentary pace, and does not limit use to an eye-straining virtual screen.

In the new game, "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere," participants can run after the Lord, hike through rugged mountains, cross raging rivers, and even leap over extremely foreboding walls.

The 'Participation Manual,' called the Bible, assists subscribers in pursuing Jesus to real (not imaginary) places, and guides them through the necessary steps to take part in life-transformative experiences, where participants win actual crowns and eternal rewards for their efforts.

Included with your subscription are free upgrades, and access to new levels as you progress through your adventure. New levels include: Spiritual warfare, sacrificially caring, wrestling not against flesh and blood, overcomers unlimited, and world-changers. There are no age restrictions, and all subscribers accrue points as they reach well-marked milestones along the way. Additional downloads are also provided in multiple languages, including 'unknown and heavenly.'

One subscriber is being quoted as saying, "This is the most exciting adventure I have been on! In fact - I have never experienced anything like this adventure before. I can't wait to get all my friends plugged into the experience with me, and activate their subscription so they can join me in making real-time changes in our generation. This program is sooooo amazing. Throughout the adventure, I actually have been allowed to help feed 'real-life' hungry people, care for the non-virtual needs of orphans, people in hospitals, nursing homes, and even care for hurting people in inner cities. I recently downloaded a new app, that taught me how to help point lost and aimlessly wandering friends to the starting line, where they too, like me, got to experience the radical change that comes from subscribing to this amazing adventure. I can't wait to download all the plug-ins and new levels - because if they're as exciting and life-changing as the first few - they're going to be amazing!"

For information on how to become a subscriber, and start fully participating in the adventure program yourself, you can either contact me, pastors of local churches (that know and follow Jesus), or any friend who is actually subscribing to the adventure, and can be counted on to introduce you to the Adventure Authorizer, Jesus Christ, and help walk you through the initial steps of activating the program in your life.

Trust me, once you subscribe, you'll be hooked for life - because nothing else in this world can compare to the "Let's Pursue Jesus Everywhere" program. And best of all, no other program issues its subscribers the kind of rewards like this one does, either.

So what are you waiting for? Join today - and start the great adventure yourself! You will be SO glad you did!!!

DIAGNOSIS & CURE FOR A SIN-SICK NATION:

DIAGNOSIS & CURE FOR A SIN-SICK NATION: The diagnosis of our sick-sickened world is not difficult to make. In 1 John 1:5, we read; "This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all."

The problem: For nearly a decade now, God's rightful place has been denied by our own government, His much-needed presence has been disallowed in most public expressions of society, and His influence has even been reduced within an increasingly secular church. Without the Light of God to illuminate our minds, reveal sin, and convict our hearts of fleshly living, its no wonder our nation is being plunged into such consuming darkness.

So what is the cure? We MUST hear the clarion voice of God calling is to pray like there's no tomorrow; we must awake to the intentions of God's purposes, and seek His face again; in humility, we must surrender our all to His will; and place Him first and foremost on the throne of ours hearts once again (2 Chron. 7:14).

Miraculously, when we make that dramatic switch internally, something amazing and sudden happens within us, and our nation will be transformed! (Psalm 33:12)

The Kingdom of God NEEDS YOU

The Kingdom of God NEEDS YOU - to be active, alive, and busy doing God's will!!! Think about it this way: The moment you become satisfied with the status quo of your life - where you've been/ what you've accomplished - you have become stagnant. And stagnation equals death. Don't believe me? Then go find a stagnant pond this July, and drink that nasty water for a few days. But be forewarned: If you do so, you will grow sick, and possibly die.

In the same way: Sitting on your backside doing nothing for God/ never helping to touch lives or reach the world, is the same thing as spiritual stagnation. In essence, you have stopped living in forward motion, and have already begun the process of dying.

But do you really want to write your obituary so soon, while there's still life in you? Now is not the time to carve your tombstone. Now is the time to get recharged, energized, excited about the work of God, and get busy doing something for Him - because you are needed now more than ever to get involved, share your talents, abilities, creative mind, loving heart and God's calling with others - who desperately need what you have to give.

Isn't it a better idea to put down the pen, and stop writing your obituary early, and instead, go find some place in your church where you can volunteer to make a real difference in the lives of others, by sharing your life, while there's still time?

Trusting in God Starts HERE & NOW!

Many people battle fear. Fear of violent attacks in our streets or in their homes. Fear of lost health. Fear of lost income. Fear for the direction our nation is going in. But let me assure you, there is no need to fear when we put our trust in God. Stand in the promises of God, and fear will fly away. Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Godly Does NOT You Are Weak!

People erroneously think that believers are weak when they choose to serve God, rather than pursue their own desires, or the world's pleasures. But it takes a far greater strength to surrender to God's will, rather than to pursue your own. The weakest people of all, are those who live bound to the demands and desires of their own flesh. Think about it: Submission to the flesh is natural, it comes easy. Every baby is born pursuing their own will, and desires. That's how we are born, and that's how many choose to live.

But to overcome the flesh, with all its lust and weaknesses - requires the kind of strength that is unheard of in the world - a strength not born of this world. Only the strongest among us (Christ followers) can kick their flesh to the curb and pursue the requirements of God's kingdom instead of the things that please and promote the flesh.

Its a GOOD DAY to PRAY!

Today is a GOOD DAY to pray. Even if you've never prayed before, or haven't prayed much in the past. Today can be the day you learn to tap into the source of God's provision and power. Let me challenge you to read what the Bible says about prayer - how it unlocks tightly locked doors, provides help in time of need, results in healing, and many blessings to many to list here.

There are only TWO requirements that victorious, conquering, overcoming, empowering prayer brings with it: You must BELIEVE that God will do what God says (in the Bible) that He will do, and you must PRAY!

Prayer is not THINKING about prayer, or KNOWING you should pray. Prayer is taking the time to set yourself before God, and having a conversation with Him. But did you know, that prayer is also talking to Him as you go about your day, or crying out to Him for help in an emergency. Yes, prayer is talking to Him any time, and all the time. Like you do with your best friend.

But remember this: Prayer does require action and faith. It can be the simplest words spoken by a child, or it can be words spoken from the heart when words fail. When you direct your conversation to God - that's prayer. And ... it works.

Let's all become people of prayer ... starting today!

Jesus FINISHED the Fight For YOU!!!

When Jesus cried out, "It is FINISHED!" He meant that the sins of the world had all been placed upon Him - so that He could carry them into death, the moment He dismissed His Spirit into the hands of the Father. I hope we can comprehend the weight of the horrible burden Jesus carried to the grave for us all. The sins of every man and woman ever born, and ever to be born - were all lumped together, and placed upon the innocent victim - the Lamb of God, the One sent to take away the sins of the world.

Its no wonder that Easter/ Resurrection Sunday is such a joyful event - for on this great day, Jesus left the burden of sins forever buried in the grave - and arose triumphantly over them all! Now through Jesus Christ alone - can the issue of your sin be forever dealt with, and you can enter into new life in Him by faith - for He has already broken the power of your sin, and stands ready to give you new life beyond your wildest imagination!

If you haven't received His free gift yet (the gift of freedom from sin/ and life evermore) - I hope you will come to Jesus today, and receive the gift that is waiting for you right here, right now!

WHEN WILL REVIVAL COME? WILL IT EVER COME?

WHEN WILL REVIVAL COME? WILL IT EVER COME? HOW WILL IT COME? The 'direction of our heart determines the 'direction' of God. I do not believe we have to 'convince' God to bring revival, rather, I believe God has to convince US that revival is worth pursuing with everything that is within us.

The reason revival has not come: Our generation has been so me-centered, so prosperity-focused, that there has been no room for God to visit us with a powerful move of His Spirit.

Joshua summed up the dilemma best, "Choose you this day whom you will serve: God or money?"

Simply put, our decision to either "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness," or to pursue the temporary wealth of humanity formulates God's response to our prayers. We can't love both the things of the fresh, and of the Spirit. We must choose which we will pursue. Joshua made that clear.

That is why Jesus said it "is easier for a camel to crawl through the tiny opening in the walled cities of the region, called the eye of the needle, long after the main gate has been closed and barred for the night, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." Notice: Its not impossible to find a rich man who is not possessed by his love for money, but Jesus made it clear, it is nearly impossible. That's how strong the love of money is upon the heart of most people.

THE ANSWER IS FOUND IN THE PAST: A look at revivals of the past gives us the template for revivals in the future. Every past revival was accompanied by a sacrificial purging of hearts and personal desires - people freely tossed aside anything the world had to offer, in exchange for winning the fulness of Christ.

Starting in the book of Acts, the people gave themselves to seek the Lord night and day (the sacrifice of their time). There was nothing they would rather do than seek the Lord. People today often begrudge God of one service a week - even then, it better be short. Revival cannot come until people pursue God with everything in them, lock, stock and barrel, so to speak.

Next, the people gave away their possessions, or sold what they had, and poured it onto the church. Why did they do that? For two reasons: so they were not encumbered by the world, and because they understood the value of money to the advancement of the kingdom of God. For that reason, people sowed extravagantly into the kingdom of God, so there might be great financial resources to reach the world with the Gospel of truth (they sacrificed their finances).

And third, the people took the message of hope and life for all people, to the ends of the earth. Many thousands upon thousands died in the process - but the Bible pays tribute to people like that, "they loved not their lives, even unto death." Amazing believers, throughout history - and join some nations today - willingly sacrifice their lives, for the sake of revival - throughout the earth.

Unfortunately, in our day, we find too many believers who are more interested in stockpiling all three elements needed for revival in their earthly warehouses (time, wealth and the love of their own lives). Revival will not come, until that trend is reversed, and en masse, we find the church (believers) willing to sacrifice all three for the sake of the coming glory of the Lord.

When the hearts of the people (all of us) are turned wholeheartedly back to God - and we become willing to sow anything and everything in our lives - including life itself - for the sake of the kingdom of God - then we will see revival again!

My prayer: "Turn our hearts Lord. Make them fully Yours! Capture them completely - right down to the smallest desire - and make us love You so much, that nothing else matters! In comparison to knowing You, everything else pales to nothing! Even so, Lord Jesus, come!"

HOW TO RESOLVE A CRISIS OR MEET YOUR NEED

That's a fact.

And anything that relies upon US instead of God - will FAIL! Only when we go to God for our answers, will we find the miraculous help we desperately need to resolve our issue, or meet our need.

So take a very BOLD action today - stop relying upon YOU, and cast all your cares upon HIM - in prayer and obedience - knowing that HE will answer the cry of your heart! So get ready for your miracle to come! When you PRAY & OBEY, its on its way!

The Faith Walk: Difficulties Guaranteed (Gen. 37:1-11)

Our walk of faith comes with two guarantees: First, God will fulfill His promises if our faith does not fail. And secondly, we will experience some major conflicts, battles or tests to our faith, between the time of the pronouncement of God's call over our life, and the fulfillment of His plans for us.

We all rejoice in the declaration of the divine call - like Joseph. And at first, we may have been tempted, like Joseph, to run and tell all our friends and family about the 'amazing' call of God upon our lives. I pray we have a little more grace, or class than Joseph had, when telling others about our personal call of God. But either way, there is joy in receiving the Word, isn't there?

And naturally, we will all shout for joy when God fulfills His prophetic Word in our lives, sometime in the future. The difficulty we encounter, in our faith-walk, however, exists between the pronouncement and the fulfillment. Those are the moments, months or years that can bring confusion, get us into trouble, or fill our lives with excessive stress.

As you recall, God gave Joseph two amazing dreams. Indeed, that must have been a heady moment for Joseph, to see all of his family members, each represented by sheaths of grain, and the sun, moon, and stars bowing down to him. Anyone might be tempted to become overly prideful with dreams like that. Regardless of Joseph's immature reaction to the call of God, though, we know with absolute certainty, that God had BIG plans for Joseph's life.

We also know, that it didn't take long, after receiving the dreams from the Lord, that his dreams seemingly went up in smoke. Thanks in no small part to Joseph's own actions, his brothers became so enraged at him, that they threatened to kill him, then finally, sold him as a slave, bound for Egypt. In one difficult moment, everything Joseph imagined his future would be, suddenly was gone. His dreams were shattered. His destiny appeared to be over. And his best days seemed to now be behind him.

Have you ever encountered times like that in your life? Such times can be really hard to handle, can't they? We hear a great proclamation over our lives, and imagine God will fulfill His call in a mighty way, but when our dream suddenly becomes a nightmare, and God's path for us turns out to be completely different (and not for the better) - we panic, grow discouraged, or even contemplate tossing in the towel.

That brings us back to the fact, that we all love hearing the proclamation of God's amazing call in our lives. And we rejoice in the fulfillment of the divine call, at the other end of the spectrum. But it's those in-between days that about do us in. Oh yeah, those dreaded days in-between the prophetic declaration and the fulfillment that we don't always appreciate, understand, or want to accept.

In due season, we know that God did fulfill His plans and purposes in Joseph's life, just like He said He would. Though he had to endured the misery and humiliation of slavery, the heartbreak of betrayal, and the terrors of a dark and hopeless prison in Egypt, in the end, God did fulfill His promises, and He used Joseph mightily.

The in-between times are the hardest times - how are you handling them? Are they beating you up pretty good? Are you suffering times of discouragement, anger, or intense frustration during the working stages of the will of God? I know, from personal experience, that those times can be extremely tough to endure. They typically are. It's never easy walking through days of difficulty to apprehend the final victory.

The very nature of the journey, of course, is why it's called a faith walk. If it was something we could easily do, we wouldn't need faith in God to see the impossible accomplished by His supernatural power.

But be encouraged today - He who has begun a good work in you WILL complete it. God always keeps His Word - you can count on it. The time between the prophetic utterance and its fulfillment can be frustrating - but I encourage you to hold on to your faith, and don't throw in the towel.

I hope you realize, as well, that the prison house isn't of your own making - its part of the greater plan of God. And in due season - when God has all the specifics worked out - the fulfillment will come.

Remember that - Joseph had to go to the prison house, in order to ascend to the king's house. If Joseph hadn't been in the prison, he would not have been in the right place at the right time - when Pharaoh needed to hear from God, and see is perfect will accomplished for Israel, Egypt and the world.

Whether you can appreciate or receive this truth today; God has you right where He needs you to be - to fulfill His will through your life. So stand strong, be faithful, don't give in to fear, doubt or frustration. In God's timing - the day will come when you will see His promises fulfilled - if your faith does not fail. So my friends, please keep the faith!
